The Clerks office is responsible for maintaining the public record on all court cases in the Licking County Municipal Court as well as collecting and distributing fines, court costs and fees associated with these cases. The Clerk's Office staff provides assistance to the public, law enforcement agencies, and attorneys who utilize the services of the court.
In 2015 there was 15,404 total cases for the Traffic/Criminal Division and 3,068 new Civil cases filed. The City of Newark received $1,933,617.70 for the cases in both divisions.
